This page explains your choices about the personal information The Mortgage Guide Hub holds, and how to make a request. It works alongside our privacy policy.
We do not sell or share your personal information
The Mortgage Guide Hub does not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, which means ads targeted at you based on your activity across other websites. We do not run advertising trackers.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, you do not need to opt out. You are already opted out. If you still want to confirm this in writing, send us a request as described below.
What we may hold about you
We collect very little. We may hold:
- your name, email address and message, if you used the contact form or emailed us
- your email address (and name, if you gave it), if you subscribed to the newsletter
We do not collect loan applications, financial documents, Social Security numbers or ITINs. Items such as your theme setting and recent searches are kept in your own browser, not by us. See our cookie policy.
The requests you can make
You can ask us to:

These rights come from the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws in other states. The California Attorney General explains them on its CCPA page. We honor these requests from all readers, wherever they live.
How to make a request
Choose one of these two ways:
- Email hello@themortgageguidehub.com with the subject line “Data or privacy request”. Say which request you are making (access, correct, delete or opt out) and give the email address you used with us.
- Use the contact form and choose the topic “Data or privacy request”.
Please do not send identity documents or financial records with your request.
How we verify your request
To protect your information, we need to confirm that the request comes from you. Because we only hold names, email addresses and messages, we usually verify a request by replying to the email address we have on file and asking you to confirm. We will only ask for the minimum information needed, and we will use it only to verify your request.
How long it takes
We usually confirm that we received your request within two business days. We respond to access, correction and deletion requests within 45 days, as the CCPA requires. If we need more time, the law allows an extension, and we will tell you why within the first 45 days.
Authorized agents
You can ask someone else, called an authorized agent, to make a request for you. The agent must show us your signed permission. We may also ask you to confirm your identity directly with us before we act on the request.
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
No discrimination
We will not treat you differently for making a privacy request. You will get the same access to every guide, page and newsletter, whatever you choose.
