Mortgage rules change more often than most people think. Loan limits reset each year, fees change and agencies update their guides. Our newsletter tells you when something important changes, in plain language.

What you get

Each email is short and to the point. It may include:

  • New guides. A short note when we publish a new guide, with a link.
  • Program rule changes. A plain-language summary when an official rule changes, such as new annual loan limits for conventional loans or a change to FHA loan eligibility, with a link to the official source.
  • Updated guides. A note when we make a significant update to an existing guide.

The newsletter is free.

Who it is for

The newsletter is for anyone who is planning to buy a home in the next few years, or who simply wants to keep up with how US mortgage programs change. It is especially useful if you:

  • are a first-time buyer comparing loan types, such as in our guide to mortgage types compared
  • are an immigrant buyer following rule changes for mortgages for immigrants, which have changed recently
  • are self-employed or file taxes with an ITIN and want to know when lending rules shift

How we write it

Every item in the newsletter follows the same editorial policy as our guides. Facts come from official sources such as HUD, the VA, USDA, FHFA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the CFPB and the IRS, and we link to them. We explain what changed, who it affects and where to read more, in plain language.

The newsletter is general education, not personal advice. It cannot tell you whether you will qualify for a loan.

How often we send it

Expect about one or two emails a month, and only when we add guides or a program rule changes. If there is nothing worth your time, we do not send anything.

No sales pitches

The newsletter is educational, just like the site. It contains:

  • no lender promotions
  • no paid placements
  • no “special offers”

We are not a lender or broker, and we do not sell loans. See our advertising disclosure for how we handle money and content.

How to unsubscribe

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Click it and you will stop getting emails. You can also email hello@themortgageguidehub.com and ask us to remove you.

Your privacy

When you sign up, your name (if you give it) and email address are sent to our email inbox through a server function. We keep them only for as long as you stay subscribed, so we can send the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, we stop using them.

We do not sell or share your personal information. Read our privacy policy for details, or see the data request page to ask for access to or deletion of your data.
